Man Of War showing up early
by Scott Weston on July 4, 2006

On the Reports page, for the last 2 week I have been mentioning that the Bermuda High as been "higher than normal lattitude wise" pushing in a consistant SE windswell-swell, with locally southerly winds. Plus there has been a few fronts/disturbances that has enhanced these conditions. Getting to the point, this set up not only has pushed in some consistent (albeit mostly small) surf, it has push in some infamous Tropical critters that normally don’t show up until later in the season. So watch out for the Man Of Wars, they are here already in southern New England, and who knows what/where others will be blown in when the tropics really start to heat up?
